I am also very patriotic. I am English, born there, lived there, however I now live in Scotland and can understand why the Scots hate the English. I used to think it was because the English had a better national football team, and I do support them over the Scot's side - when England beat Argentina in the World Cup a few years back, the only way I could watch it, was in a bookies in Glasgow, thankfully I was a good runner then, cause when Beckham scored I cheered, much to the annoyance of the Scots people in the bookies at the time, who were ripping up their betting stubs - however why is it that everything is English this, and English that.
I suppose now it's the English Army who are over in Iraq, no Scots (who incidently have gained more medals than any English regiment), no Irish or Welsh.
No, its called the British Army, because it's made up from ALL British nationalities.
The Union Flag is again not the English flag but the flag of the Union, ie England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
I am personally getting just a little bit sick of people who think that when I say British, Britain, GB or the UK I am saying English or England. NO I AM NOT
No wonder Scotland wants Independence.
