Australian actress Victoria Hill (December Boys) has reportedly auditioned for the role of Wonder Woman in Warner Bros.' live-action Justice League of America movie to be directed by George Miller.

According to Moviehole.net, Hill has read for the part. Since JLA will film Down Under, it makes sense that casting directors would be looking at Aussie actors for key roles. Hill's credits include Geoffrey Wright's MacBeth, BoyTown, and a stint on Xena: Warrior Princess as "Waltraute".

In other JLA news, ObsessedWithFilm.com reports that Owen Paterson (Speed Racer, V For Vendetta and the Matrix trilogy) has been hired as the film's production designer.

Meanwhile, sources for JusticeLeague-on-Film.com claim that they are "'90%' positive that JL will be a digitally animated project, using Motion Capture technology [as has been rumored]. Several actors have been tested for roles, like 'Wonder Woman,' and while a physical type for each role is being sought, the emphasis has been on vocal performance, rather than on a perfect physical match."

According to a casting notice for JLA's 8-9 lead roles obtained by DarkHorizons.com, the filmmakers "are looking for Male actors 18-35 years old; Caucasian and Black. The primary focus should be to find Caucasian actors. There is 1 role for the Black Actor. We are looking for Female actors 20-32 years old; any ethnicity."

John Stewart's Green Lantern, anybody?
