I now have zero respect for Staci Layne Wilson (not that I had any initially, she's an awful reviewer anyway). And, yes, it's BOC's Don't Fear The Reaper. If you're going to write a review, at least get your facts straight. Jeez. This kind of stuff is what separates you from real critics.

YOU ARE EXACTLY RIGHT!! This is the first time I have been to horror.com and I don't know who this Stacy is, but if she liked the new "Halloween" I'm not interested in hearing anymore of her reviews.

This movie was bad in so many ways.

They basically took the original, fast forwarded through it (after getting past michael's childhood), filled it with worse and annoying actors (except for Danielle Harris), and bit and pieces of the original dialogue.

And everytime they tried to copy a scene from the original, it was so badly, half-assed done I cringed.

Just like when Malcolm McDowell would throw out "pieces" of Donald Pleasance's great lines here and there. Even if he said the lines verbatim, he just didn't work in the role.

Seeing him made me appreciate Donald Pleasance so much more.
Seeing this terrible casting made me appreciate the original cast so much more.
Seeing this film made me appreciate John Carpenter so much more.

And if someone says to me "you can't compare this to the original," then my response is, "then don't copy lines and scenes here and there and do them 100 times worse than John Carpenter did."

The last GREAT Halloween movie for me was "Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers."

The others disappointed me, but were watchable. The only value of this one is that it illustrates the greatness of the original.

Hell, it makes them all look great.
