You all ever see the movie about sybil. That shit was crazy. I can't remeber if she was the one whose father made tied her to the potty chair. Either way that girl who was saved from the potty chair is still suffering. She's of interest because she had past the critical period for learning to communicate verbally. This lady(can't remember her name) worked with the girl to see if she could be taught to speak and express herself. While she learnd a ton of words she failed to grap the concepts needed to combine such words into language. This women felt that in order for the child to gain an understanding of language she needed more time. More time with a compassionate understanding teacher. She had already began to develope the type of bond she felt was required to attain this goal. Enter horrible mother who pinned all the abuse and tortue on the father. The Mom didnt like the women succeding where she and her spouse had so miserably failed. What did she do? She sent the child to a home for imcompetents and got a restraining order on the women. Needless to say the childs conditioin deteriorated rapidly and lost much of the ground she had worked so hard to achieve. This post may not have much to do with horror movies but it sure as shit has to do with the horror that can exist in our waking lives.
