They spend alot of money and audience polling for these things, it doesn't just come out of their butt ( as much as we all like to believe:D )
If everybody would stop going to sequels and prequels,etc,etc-the studios would be forced to seek out original screenplays.

I don't mind a sequel that at least attempts to match the quality of the original film, and comes along in a reasonable amount of time. But that is certainly not what is happening here. I mean, really who pays for this kind of crap? I mean, I MIGHT watch something like this is it happened to be on SciFi late one night and I was bored. I am certainly not going to be paying for the DVDs. I just don't see too many people getting excited about a direct to dvd sequel to Lost Boys twenty years after the original film was released. But maybe that is just me.....:p
