I think someone has mentioned in the past that thier agents may be responsible. The agent makes a deal, or agrees to soemthing and accidentally ropes real actors into a shit project.
Or, the actors are truly clueless. Its happened before, The Rock claimed he was a huge Doom fan and wouldnt have anything to do with the movie if it deviated too much from the game... And he seemed to miss that there were no mutants or kung fu in the game...
