in one big file. defragging will achieve this.
also .. depending on the speed of your PC, etc ... you probably shouldnt do anything while burning. .. walk away from the PC until its done.

I was just going to the say the same thing. Do a scan disk, disk clean up and a defrag(You should do them all in this order) and it should work fine afterwards. My PC does the same thing if I don't defrag regularly.
I also don't do anything else while burning CDs, other programs running will slow it down and cause burning problems.
