Men who are heterosexual dressing as women doesn't bother me at all. Somewhere in these posts someone mentioned the brilliant Eddie Izzard, who "fancies women," I'd go out with Eddie.

I have a hard time with transexuals and drag queens though, and because I am, in some ways, part of the gay community I've hung out with both. I don't like the idea of someone trying to be a woman when they're not. (And I'm sure, you guys feel the same about women who want to be men). Being a woman is not just that hole, which on transgender, is artificial, or boobs or make-up, and who's prettier (Rod, I remember you telling us that in one of your experiences dressing up that someone said, "It's not even as if your cute" or something... It pissed me off).

You know, being a woman is about the experiences and processes of womanhood. It's insulting, almost to be reduced to pure phsycial form. It's almost as insulting as hetero men seeing us for our outer self. As I said before, it's probably the same for guys. Being a man is not just the penis, it's all of the processes and experiences of manhood. Like Urge said, there's a big difference, and that's a big difference that no opperation and no amount of make-up, prosthesis, and wishing can change.

Having said that... Homosexuality is not a choice. "Fence sitting," at least for me, is not a choice. I genuinely find both men and women physically attractive, and therefore, for me, love, romantic sexual love- like the kind that gets people married- doesn't come in one flavor.

Let me give you a little excert from Ani Difranco's "In or Out," "Some days the line I walk turns out to be straight/ Other days the line tends to deviate/ I've got no criteria for sex or race/ I just want to hear your voice/ I just want to see your face."
