My first career was in musical theater, breadway and such.
As such I'm much more familiar with drag queens than transvstites, but there is a certain similarity.
It's a fantasy, an escape away from the gruff, masculine world into the softness and glamour of an idealized (and very male) idea of femininity. Having had several friends who do drag shows and such, I've been dolled up by them and paraded around in public - and it was hilarious.
I'm not a transvestite, I'm not gay but I would consider myself open minded about most thing sexual (and Urge, public nudity doesn't bother me - but it bothers people like you, so I respect that and keep my clothes on - and my wife would love it if I dressed up for her) If you like it, fine, knock yourself out! What harm can come from it?
now trans-gender operations...I do have a hang-up about that, primarily because it takes a greatr deal of self-hatred to go through such a violent and painful operation...but that's my hang-up.
