At the end of Group 1 matches, most of the popular movies have advanced to the next stages. However, there were some really close matches which resulted in some remarkable upsets in the first elimination stage itself. The prominent losers were :-

1 - Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives (wasnt so popular after all)

2 - Shocker (lost by a whisker!)

3 - The Keep (suffered probably due to lesser people who have seen it)

4 - Friday the 13th II (again lost by a mere whisker!)

5 - Phantasm II (lost the closest battle of Group 1)

6 - Angel Heart (not many knew about this great movie...) (HDC Top 100 Ranked - 70th)

7 - The Hidden (immensely popular, but Arnie's Hunter had the better of it)

8 - Maniac (underrated and under-popular, hence the loss) (HDC Top 100 Ranked - 93rd)

9 - Child's Play (the shock loser of Group 1...Chucky is gonna be hopping mad!)

10 - Opera (Argento's masterpiece couldnt beat the popularity of F13 Part IV) (HDC Top 100 Ranked - 99th)


If you thought Group 1 had some really tough matches, just wait for the lineup of Group 2...here we go...
