Well, generally, if you're sitting in a room with a bunch of people, someone doesn't just automatically jump up and scream, "I'm really pissed at you, Vod!" for no reason.

I must be inclined to point out the infamous Crusades where Europe launched a similar campaign, with a different objective in that the terrorists aren't trying to reclaim anything. They want revenge, evil, sadistic, loathe bastards that they are.

Personally, and maybe I'm a jackass for saying this but fuck it, monotheism, as a belief foundation, is bullocks. It creates an "us them" paradigm whereas polytheism/pantheism does not and allows for all believers of all kinds, even atheists (who don't) to co-exist peacefully, and who gives a fuck.

Because basically, all of this bullshit really does boil down to religion.

It's those three fucking Abrahamic traditions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) bitching, fighting, and killing each other. The funny thing is that they all recognize the same fucking god. They all believe in pretty much the same fucking thing, except the Christians believe that Jesus was the son o' god, while the other two just believe he was a really nifty prophet. Yet, they're hell bent on killing each other.

The funny thing is, these two major world religions are the New Kids on the Block.

There are the exceptions... The people who actually got what their religion was all about, and they're trying to talk over a den of idiots yelling at each other. Hammerfan knows what I'm talking about, and what's really interesting about that is that she's a woman, yes, and feminist theology is on the rise and one it's main concerns is eliminating this shit.
