Yeah,you're right,most likely anti-depressants.
Which would cause either euphoria in the first 48 hours followed by a crash when the neurons firing off weren't getting the reuptake thingy...or it could cause dangerous suicidal lows but that would usually be after a few days or more...hmm.
But then again, people have all different levels of brain chemistry reacting to different types of meds and how side affects affect them-etc etc.
You could go forever with the many variations on that one.

But your point did make me think in a different direction,which makes this movie even more interesting to me because it's added yet another level to a great film.
