The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada
A modern day western that strongly reminded me of Clint Eastwood's directorial work, as it has the same sort of dark, fatalistic tone that Eastwood's works do. The film features excellent performances all around, but particularly from Tommy Lee Jones (who also did a fantastic job in the director's seat) and Barry Pepper. The ambiguity of the ending may turn some people off, but I think that it was essential to the film's central theme of redemption. Great film. I recommend it highly. Overall: 8.5/10
