Jogger finds burning corpse
A jogger found a burning corpse in a field close by the King’s estate on Bygdøy, Oslo, when he was out jogging Monday morning.

The body was found by a jogger passing by at 10:15 a.m.,” said Lasse Alver at Oslo police department to TV 2 Nettavisen. “The person in question saw a person, who appeared to be dead, lying on a field. The witness said smoke rose from what was later identified as a corpse. The corpse was burning when the body was found.”

“As of now, we don’t know the identity or gender of the person,” Alver said.

Searching the field

The dead person was found by a walk on Bygdøy. Crime scene technicians are now on the location searching for clues and trying to find out if a crime has been committed.

The police are among other things searching the field where the dead person was found.

“Two witnesses are called in for questioning, where of one is the jogger,” Alver stated.

The case is currently being investigated as a suspicious death.
