he made a lot of horrible decisions ...
9 1/2 weeks being one of them .. what a waste ...the sad success of that film (north americans are so sexually repressed that they thought that film was racey) that led to the other 'erotic thrillers' the got progressivly worse.
A Prayer For the Dying was a really bad move as well .. he might be of irish ancestry but he couldnt do the accent. that movie put him in therapy.
then he got into the boxing and that pretty much ended his 'handsome leading man' rolls.
most good directors that have been around know him for what he is .. a major talent.
They started to use him in bit rolls where he outshone the rest of the cast ...
i think he'll get used again regularily (rodriguez certainly seems to like him) but he wont be the pretty boy anymore .. so it'll be weird character rolls ...
but thats ok, a little mickey is far better than a lot of Cruise.
