MY advice for silent movie lovers, on another matter...when you really want that authentic, oldskool silent movie experience, get your preferred movie on dvd, turn the colour right down, loosen your cables some, subtitles ON, sound OFF.
I suppose you could smear a little dirt on your screen to give it the vintage look too...
