Well, first off, don't be concerned if the therapy isn't effective immediately; just keep at it. A broken heart does not just go away poof like that. They usually take MINIMUM 2 weeks, can sometimes take a great deal longer but you can try for 2 weeks if you really work at it.
You need to talk to friends about it, and only the good supportive friends. Don't talk about it with people who have an especially mean or cruel nature, they may say things that will depress you a lot more.
Watch a lot of movies, particularly funny ones, but mix in a violent one here and there, like Friday the 13th. Old movies that take you completely away to another time also can help.
Drink orange juice at least once a day when recovering from heartache.
Go out and see the world, hang out with people outdoors.
