"Jaws" 30th Anniversary Edition DVD
I forget if I mentioned this but I got it a couple of weeks ago. I recommend it partially because the new transfer of the film is very crisp and bright, and partially because there is some amazing underwater footage of the mechanical shark in MGM's Esther Williams tank (where certain moments of Hooper's "descent in the cage" were photographed).
One thing I did not know was that Dick Warlock was the primary stuntman for the MGM tank shoot. His interview in the documentary is very illuminating, and in fact, he also had the foresight to take his own underwater camera into the tank to get home movies, and it is his footage that shows the shark puppet being tested. As far as I know, this is the first time this footage has been made available. It is absolutely spellbinding.
