Okay....
I am beginning to host ads over on
my site, as anyone who happens over there may notice.
Now, i have been hosting ads for amazon.com forever, no biggie there. I discovered another place today that has all kinds of ads available (they can be seen at the bottom of everypage but the main page). I'm cool with those too.
Now, the thing that is getting me is this:
I have discovered that a ton of money can be made through Fastclick. The moral dilema is this, every time i have run spybot or adaware, both key on fastclick cookies. now, it has never been proven that fastclick uses tracking cookies for anything other than collecting advertising info, ie, their cookies record whether you have been to the site or not, but still....
I would love to make a bundle off my site (maybe the damn thing will pay for itself.....), but i dont want to be dumping garbage on people's computers.
What is a vod to do? Will i be making my site profitable, or will i be selling out to "the man"?
