read in the paper this morning over me cornflakes, an article about Ramsey and the owner of Bonaparte's reasturant, featured in last years series.
in short... apparantly her business went downhill after he'd left and reorganised her menu, customers dwindled and she ended up trying to sell the business, that failed, so she put the premesis up for sale, that failed to. Now she's filing for bankruptcy. There was no info on how bad the business was actually doing before he arrived and changed things around, but I'm quite sceptical it was all to do with what he did and what he changed. I know variations in menus people are used to can be offputting for some customers. Or maybe she had a large clientel of regular customers who liked what she was doing, and Ramseys intervention ruinied it all??
she's now going to write a book of her troubles, and hopes it becomes a tv series about the ups and downs of a reasturant owner... in the hope she claws back some of her lost finances.
