I love texas hold'em as well. I have played for about 10 years and in that time I have won about £80,000 pounds (about 156,000 dollars) in amateur and pro contests in England. I have never gone full time pro and work a full time job as I enjoy poker as a hobby. Luckily my job has me working four days on and four off with 25 days holiday a year, so using four days holiday I get twelve off, so my poke fits in well with working. Who knows though, one day I may just chuck my job in and go for it, but at the moment things suit me well.
I totally agree with Barbra, if anyone is thinking of taking up poker I say go for it, it is the only sport in the world where a complete beginner can win the world title :)
