John sat on the wooden stool in the dimly lit basement, staring at the vice that was mounted on the workdesk. He ran his fingers over the rusted steel, flipping the crank and watching the vice expand.
"Come on, do it," the Devil said, standing over John. He patted John's shoulders with his long, black nails.
"I'm gonna, gimee a second."
John turned to crank until the vice was large enough to fit a human skull into. He swallowed a large bubble of saliva.
"Come on, let's go." The Devil was getting impatient. "I dare ya."
"You don't have to dare me, I'm gonna do it anyway."
The Devil clapped and giggled like small child as John fit his head into the vice, and gripped the crank as best he could with his hand.
"I... I can't."
"Oh, that's OK. Here, I'll help you out," the Devil said as he placed his hand over John's on the crank.
