I dont think the 2004 Dawn of the Dead was all that different than the original. It just had better effects and a few new characters. This Toolbox Murders supposedly has a whole different storyline than the 70s grindhouse version. Its gonna be bloody I guarantee that, especially with Tobe Hooper calling the shots.
