All great films, try Vampyr (1932? too lazy to go look at my copy) it's not silient but the sound quality is so poor it might as well be. I believe it is originally a French film, and it is avaiable on DVD. I have taken to watching most silent films on my laptop, so I'm a lot closer, and can see the sub-titles a lot better.
