When you start watching a movie with as high expectations as I had of this, usually you get disapointed [Ex. that aplies to me- Exorcist]. But on a rare occaision, you go into a movie with very high expectations, and the movie blows right past them. The Godfather, which I watched for the 1st time last night was just such a movie. Some of the deaths, one in particular[It would be a spoiler], actually came damn close to bringing a tear to my eye. One of the absolute best movies ever made, I look forward to seeing parts 2 and 3.

Same thing happened to me last night when I went to see Million Dollar Baby. I'm a BIG Clint Eastwood fan so I have high expectations for any of his films and it was no different last night I went to the theater expecting to see one of if not the best movies I'd ever seen and it didn't disappoint one bit, I thought Clint Eastwood,Morgan Freeman and Hilary Swank all did fantastic jobs very much so deserving of their oscar nominations. This is one of the only two movies that almost had me in tears. It's definately my favorite Eastwood film(or at least a tie with The Good,The Bad and The Ugly)and in my top three all time favs.
