Man Tries To Make Dog Eat Puppies
Man Allegedly Starves Dog So It Can Turn On 8 Pups
Prescott, Arizona - A 19-year-old man is accused by Yavapai County sheriff's investigators of starving his dog after she gave birth to eight puppies.
The sheriff's office alleges Rimrock resident Danny Gene Lane didn't want to care for the puppies. So, it says he allegedly starved his dog in hopes she would turn on her puppies.
The dog and the eight three-week-old puppies are recovering at the Mile Hi Animal Hospital in Prescott.
Lane was arrested and booked into the county jail in Prescott for investigation of two counts of animal cruelty and one count each of abandoment and inhumane treatment of an animal.
