I put Eraserhead and The Short Films of David Lynch at the top of my "disturbing" list. The Brothers Quay Collection are films that are not actually "scary" but are like watching the haunted dreams of some tortured soul. Very intense stuff. Especially awesome on an HMD with headphones. To be immersed in a Quay film in the dark is an experience you'll never forget!
