"Blaming the internet on the downfall of society is another pathetic attempt to excuse poor parenting skills."
Nice.
"Although a family friend or family memeber may be the bad guy, but the odd's of catching someone whom you met off the internet is alot smaller then catching and prosecuting uncle John for example."
what is this based off of? Its all situational. If someone is being molested by uncle john, wouldnt they PERHAPS be more inclined to keep they mouth shut since its a relative, as opposed to a stranger? That said relative could use their power/influence to keep them to shut up?
that and it depends on hwether or not u actually meet etc, and the crime. lets say in a rape, both situations would be left with physical evidence but in the internet case odds are there would be some sort of log, whether on the TIF, email, website etc..
what does the internet do? provide information and connect people from all over the world. of course with the good info and the good people theyres gonna be the BS as well as the pedophiles/assholes etc.
i wouldnt shut my kids from it but if its all they do then yah, id regulate it. as for talking with people, let em talk. just becuz we can physically see someone, it makes them safer?
