Man Threatens To Kill Deli Worker Over Sandwich
Man Accused Of Terrorist Threat In sandwich Dispute
Houston, Texas-- A customer allegedly upset over the way his sandwich was made at a Houston restaurant is accused of making a terrorist threat.
Authorities say 34-year-old Devlin B. Nelson was arrested yesterday and remains in custody in a dispute over his six-dollar steak and cheese sandwich.
Houston police say Nelson made a death threat because the sandwich wasn't heated enough.
The manager had offered to reheat the food or make a new sandwich.
Nelson is accused of demanding his money back, then throwing the sandwich at the manager and threatening to kill her and blow up the building.
Nelson is a Houston public works employee, but he's been relieved of his duties until the outcome of the criminal investigation.
