Interesting topic...
I've always been kind of fascinated by this possiblity. My speculation never led me to believe that there would be another 'me' out there, but I suppose it's possible. I do, however, think that there's a pretty good chance that there is intelligent life out there somewhere.
I wonder if we'll ever find it... Or if it will ever find us... And if we'd want it to... (Initially, we'd think it's great. "Wow, aliens! Cool!" But what if they were a physically and mentally superior race and decided to enslave us... Then it wouldn't seem quite so awesome.)
P.S. There's no such thing as a "scientifically proven theory". A theory is something that is widely (or not so widely) believed, but unproven. If something is proven, it becomes a fact.
