Do you believe in parallel universes? For those of you not familiar with the concept, here's a brief explanation:

We are in one universe of endless universes. There are in the neighborhood of 40 billion solar systems in our galaxy, with over 1.2 billion galaxies in the universe.

Now, if there are multiple universes, which there are, then that would mean that in one of those universes, the chances that someone exactly like ourselves is doing exactly the same thing we are right now are actually greater than not. There are also slightly different versions of ourselves out there in different universes, making different choices than us. There are also radically different versions of ourselves who you wouldn't even recognize, though would still be you down to your very genetic structure. They were just exposed to a different environment and made different choices than us their entire life. There are also universes that you wouldn't even remotely begin to recognize, as they would be completely alien to you.

This is a scientifically proven theory now, though it used to be merely science fiction. That doesn't necessarily mean that everyone is going to believe it, but it has been proven time and again over the last 10 years. We are just now getting the capability to test these theories with advanced microwave equipment.
