Really, Doctor?
I don't think the cops hassle yopu because of the way you look (they can't really know that until they get up on you, can they?)
I don't think they hassle you because of the car you drive either.
I think they probably hassle you because of the WAY you drive. Granted, in the case you mentioned, you had an actual emergency, but it sounds like that was an isolated incident. Were you in an emergency situation the other times you got "hastled"? I doubt it.
If you're going to blatantly disregard the law because you just want to do what you want to do, then expect to get hassled...and accept it.
And to the rest, it really doesn't matter if the cops in your area are dishing out tickets to buy their donuts or to buy their mammies televisions...the bottom line is, nobody gets tickets for obeying the law! If you don't want a ticket, don't break the law; if you don't care about the law, or feel you just can't slow it down (or whatever) then accept that getting that ticket is part of the territory.
