People are a whole lot more cautious than they used to be about who they open themselves up to and while it's never anything personal against you per se, people can't stop and take into account that not everyone is terrible but yet they treat strangers all the same. I live in Las Vegas in the majority of the people here are Hangers On so you need to be just as good as they are in their eyes or better or else you don't matter. Luckily there are still good people in this world. All the people I was hanging out with Friday night all seem to have really nice jobs and the guy who was hosting had a small home but it was still a really nice one in a residential area. They seem to work somehow in the entertainment industry as a few of them seem to work for a software company and at least two of them are cameramen. I'm just glad they don't look down on me like a lesser person because of my disability and having to be on Social Security.

I agree It's just harder for people to trust other people nowadays especially when they hear about all the horrible things that happen in the world.
I think the internet kind of makes it easier to make friends than real life though. It somehow feels safer to open up to people when you don't actually have to meet them. But the internet can be dangerous too because people lie about who they are and will prey on the naive and vulnerable.
