A disturbed and delusional high school student with aspirations of a career in medicine goes to extremes to earn the approval of her controlling mother.
Odd little movie with an unexpected ending. Well made with decent performances. Wasn't a big fan of it though, although I can't say why without spoiling it.

Martyrs (2008)
I.M.D.B.
A young woman's quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tormented her as a child leads her and a friend, who is also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity.
First half of this movie was very good. I felt it went downhill in the second half to the point of ridiculousness (the violence rather than the plot).

Tunnel (2016)

A man is on his way home when the poorly constructed tunnel he is driving through collapses, leaving him trapped.
Didn't take itself too seriously, which made it far more enjoyable than it could have been at a two hour run time. Doing so, however, sacrificed some of the harrowing ordeal of survival, so I felt it lacked a punch in that department.
