Watch the French original, the US remake is just as bad as all of the other US remakes. Plus the French series got a season 2 to tie up all of the loose ends. And it does. Sort of.
The US version got cancelled, so no season 2 for us. The first season of Resurrection is good too, but the second sucks ass. Keep an eye out for Threshold, it's well worth watching, even if it only lasted 12 episodes.
