Human Cloning

What do you think about the possiblities i've cloning humans?
Should human cloning be legal or illegal (it's currently illegal in the US)?

Seriously tho, I think it should remain illegal.IF God or whoever YOU (as a group) belive in, didnt get it right the first time, who the hell are we to belive we'll get it right at all.

Yeah the world is fucked up enough already, we definitely don't need any psycho clones running around

I believe in certain aspects of cloning, such as cloning limbs and organs for implant and replacement. I DO NOT believe in cloning entire beings. There is just something horribly twisted about the thought of having another me running around. Unless they could make a female me... then I might be interested. :)

Agreed. I can see a benefit to cloning healthy organs for transplant, but other than that, I say 'No'. They should not be cloning people at all. That's too fucked up. It's hard to even find the words to describe my thoughts on this...

What if we all had a clone? And then when you died, they took your place, took your job, fucked your wife, raised your kids, etc... (6th Day anyone?) and no one even knew you were really dead. Worse yet, what if the clones realized this potential and began killing their originals?

Too many fucked up possibilities for me support this cause.

Definitely some good points there bwind22 and I agree with you on all of them.

Stingy Jack 07-29-2004 04:04 PM

Yeah, all of my points have already been said.

1. I agree with cloning organs and limbs (if cloning limbs is possible ...)

2. I don't agree with cloning entire beings. What would be the point?

Although, I don't think that a clone of a person would actually become that person. Our personalities are shaped by a variety of things, not just our genes. Unless a clone with your genes experienced the exact same things you experienced in the exact sequence that you experienced them, then it cannot become "another you".
