Terminator

Anyone else see some horror elements in these movies? When i was a kid, long before i had ever seen the terminator, i thought it was horror.

It does have several slasher elements (both of them, actually). Methodical, unstoppable human-looking monsters stalk innocent prey, slaughtering anything and anyone that gets in their path.

Jim Cameron made it sci-fi, and made a strong enough story that it seems to "transcend" horror, and they have too much action to really qualify as horror, but does anyone agree with me?

These are two of my all time favorite movies.

Oh yes, and the end of the original was CLASSIC horror. The entire last 5 minutes (before the actual closing with Sarah on her way to mexico) was like any true horror or slasher flick, especially with the metal skeleton with red-glowing eyes slowly approaching to crush the life out of a 19 year old waitress :)

I think that all 3 Terminators are Sci-Fi...There wasn't a lot of horror elements in any of them. Sure the ending of the original, if you can hold your defense...
