Please help me w/this movie title!
 

Hi,

I may have posted this already but this title is driving me nuts again! I managed to find one other obscure movie title so I have to find this one. All I know is that this film aired on Cinemax between 1987 and 1989. Remember when they'd show cheesy horror flicks at like Two in the morning?

All I remember is that it starts off in the 1940's and a man with a moustach and slicked back hair is glancing at newspaper headlines(he apparently was a big movie star along with his wife). He's listening to a phonograph in the attic and his wife comes up to see him. They dance and he kills her then hangs himself. Fast Foward to the present where a nice family of four plans to move in. The house is rundown and is a hangout for a local gang, which includes this one short, curly haired guy who doesn't talk. anyway the family moves in but the gang tortures them. While the parents are away, these gang members storm the house, beat up the son and lock him in the basement and try to rape the daughter. During this time the other gang members party it up like all teens do in horror flicks but one by one they're killed. In the end the leader(a blond haired guy) is killed off and from what I remember, the family thinks their troubles are over but it turns out that quiet gang member survived, he was killing the other members. I guess he was posessed in someway by the spirit of the old actor. Turns out he was a distant relative of the teen., he is killed in some way though I don't know how. I think he's leaning into a dumbwaiter and it falls down on his head, choping it off. All I rember is the film ending with a pan onto an upstairs hallway mirror and the ghost of that quiet gang member quickly appears in the mirror with a sinister laugh and the mirror shatters, roll credits.

I swear this movie was only on twice during the above mentioned time fram and I could have sworn it was something like Dead Again(no, not the Kenneth Branaugh film) or Back again. Something with dead or again in it since the ghost comes back.

PLEASE, there's got to be someone who remembers this flick.

The other obscure one that was on around this time I found out was called Scared Stiff. This movie was made in 1989 so maybe this other flick is also an 89 movie?
