Looking for a place to start w my first short in a long time
 

What's up, fellow horror, and general, film nuts?

I am currently beginning work on a short horror film, which includes themes about the horrors of abuse; being trapped with that abuser in a quarantine like situation; the insanley scary aspects of suffering a mental illness; and the power of abuse vs the power of leaving said abuse....

Oh..
Yeah..
And, it's partially a monster film. Well, it's all really a monster movie, but by MONSTER, I mean a real monster.

I haven't figured out the relationship btwn the ABUSER and the ABUSED. It could either end up being: a mother/(step)daughter; father/(step)son; Boyfriend/Girlfriend.

Leaving that aside, I'm wondering, doea anyone has a film/list of films, which could help to sculpt this film?

How about inspirational stories about "real" monsters? Places to start researching?
