Doom
 

What's up guys been out in the field (military stuff) for awhile, but just wondering who is actually going to get the new Doom? I will just because I have been a fan of Doom for awhile and I run out of horror games quickly. Anyone else excited for it, or do you guys think it'll be over-hyped and turn out bad?

I'll be picking it up...yknow, whenever I get around to getting a new PC or maybe a steambox. So not for a while, I'm always a bit behind.
I look forward to it.
From the trailers I've seen, it seems a bit of a return to form and back to basics in terms of gameplay. Frantic, kill everything run and gun. Just, looks insanely improved.
I was a huge fan of the first 2 doom games, and their various versions and expansions, editions and the like.
Felt like the third one had a swing and a miss and trying for something a bit different. Not really a "bad" game, but one that didn't feel like part of the DOOM series to me.

I think that it has potential. It looks more good, than bad.

I'm not.

Not a fan of shoot-em-up's. Didn't even like F.E.A.R.

Yeah I see that a lot. Honestly I don't even see it as a "horror" game as much because of the run and gun.
