The Ruins (2008)

Anyone else who likes this movie?

Always thought of it as a little gem.
The story's simple but decent, mysterious but not vague, nice pace, cast is better than average, beautiful location, bloody enough but not too bloody,...

Archeology and ancient evil often make a good combination, me thinks.
Like the stuff in The Omen movies. church basement in Prince Of Darkness,...
Or, from lesser movies, the old church in Exorcist: The Beginning, the underground pyramid in Alien Vs Predator,...

It's a hell of a fun watch. I own it and watch it maybe once every year/year and a half. Pretty nice little economic effort.

Quite like it myself...good location shots, decent acting and a couple of seriously wince inducing moments too. Book by Scott Smith also worth reading, although it's a mite long.

Thanks! Almost. Have a couple of gift cards to get. Then I'm done.
