What made you love Horror? Why do you love Horror?

I love Horror because, it taught me that it's okay to be different. Horror taught me about Humanism. Horror inspires me, allows me to understand people in a different way, and Horror has helped me understand life in a different way.

I love horror because it is pure fun. You get to forget about all the crap that's happening in the real world and disappear into a world of fear. I love it because my pops loved it and introduced me when I was young. Horror is a part of my world and always will be.

Horror is one of the few genres that, when done right, can trigger almost every emotion. The stakes are usually life-or-death, and they have a certain dark tone to them that other movies don't.

I started watching it when I was a kid and I've been addicted ever since. For me, it's about checking out of reality and enjoying all the crazy stuff and knowing it's all for fun. It touches my dark side and I like the way many of them make me feel. I'll watch horror until the day I die!!!!

I've loved watching monster movies since I was a kid watching tapes of classic Scooby-Doo episodes. I wanted something more, something real, so I worked my way up to films like Jurassic Park and American Werewolf.

The werewolf was the real hook though. I don't know why I love them so but I do. They got me hooked on monster flicks which got me into slashers which worked it's way into various others.

I mentioned in a different topic but I was actually quite a pansy as a child. I had weird interests like collecting dead animal parts (still collect skulls today), but I couldn't sit through the Mummy remake.

Movies have always been able to take a hold of me and pull me into their world. When the credits roll and I'm released from their grip, I realize with all the drama and darkness in my own reality, it's not NEAR as bad as it could be.

As an artist there's also many levels of creativity that I can enjoy from horror. Whither it be gore, creature design, or transformation, I'm always coming out inspired from them.

Original, weird and unusual stuff that you don't find in other movies.

I love the feeling a horror film gives me deep down in my stomach, a warm comfort that I never feel in reality. I will never give it up. It feels too good. : )

The anticipation as you push the play button...getting lost in the film as it plays and thinking about what just entered your mind when it's finished...sometimes for days after. There is nothing better than that.
