Paranormal Activity 5: The Ghost Dimension

Paranormal Activity 5 confirmed for Halloween 2013 release
Fourth film takes $30m on opening weekend

Quote:

With the inevitability of the rising sun, Paramount has announced that another Paranormal Activity film is in the pipeline, with the fifth film set to open in the UK next Halloween.

The news comes hot on the heels of Paranormal Activity 4’s opening weekend, with the latest installment in the found-footage franchise topping the US box office after a $30m haul.

That’s actually a marginally disappointing figure for the franchise, the lowest opening for a Paranormal Activity film since the first one. However, given the film was made for just $5m, it still stands to make a very healthy profit.

It’s those ultra-cheap production costs that will have made another sequel so appealing to Paramount execs, especially given the series’ formidable performance in overseas territories. Paranormal Activity 3 took over $100m outside of the States.

It's not a a horror flick series at all.
Whoever likes this stuff has some serious issues.
I mean if someone gets scared by a door opening slightly for which there could be a number of reasons then I wonder how someone like that walk around in this world. Are they so protected that each unusual occurrence frightens them to death?

The team behind Paranormal Activity are more creative when they involve themselves with more conventional horrors like Insidious.Naturally the collaboration with James Wan is pretty effective.

Do we really need another one? I mean one was bad enough also considering that the credits were like 12 minutes long or whatever. Yes I've seen the 2nd one. I don't think I've seen the 3rd. and since I can't remember it must of been pretty bad.

You think they would learn their lesson after what happened to the Saw series.

The first one's ending with the chick slicing her own throat was a great ending to me. First one was alright but the others...ehhh.

They did see what happened to the Saw movies.... They think they can do better.... and really in the end people are going to pay to see this shit no matter what
