Ape Man/ Apelike Man at Sandwich Shop

Okay. So I'm buying a sandwich yesterday at the sandwich shop down the street. Ahead of me is this guy. He's waiting for his sandwich but is moving strangely--seems to hop a little bit as he stands. Seems like he's in his own world, in a way. Speaks to the girl behind the counter, but his words sound odd, like gibberish.

He gets his sandwich and goes over to the condiments area to add extra stuff to it. I hear him saying things like "Ketchup, mustard. Excellent, excellent!!" And he spends a REALLY LONG TIME dressing up his sandwich, putting this on it, putting that on it, adding pepper, seems like he spends five minutes or more adding things. And all the time he is kind of hopping lightly, like energy is bubbling up inside him and can't be contained.

Finally he leaves with his sandwich in a brown paper sack. I get my sandwich and go outside. He's crossing the street with his sandwich sack, and he is swinging his arms as he walks! And hopping much more crazily. I get a good look at him, and he has a very low sloping forehead, too! And he looks for all the world like some sort of monkey in human clothes! Hopping and skipping down the street, swinging his arms!

I quickly go off on my way, in the opposite direction.

Just be glad he didn't do a mating ritual.

did you catch what kind of sammywich it was?

if it was a banana sammmy then you might be on to something.

It was weird. I sensed there was something odd about this chap immediately--but it was a small establishment and I didn't want to be rude and stare. Only when we were outside and he was walking away did I really get a good look.
