I only wish I hadn't known ahead of time about some of them; I'm sure it would have been more fun that way.

One I might add is the unmasking in Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera.

My pick would be at near the top...The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)

I d place Psycho, Planet of the Apes, Seven and Empire Strikes Back a bit higher than the rest. Psycho would be my #1 choice.

Primal Fear would be right up there for me.

I think the Crying Game should be a contender (since Sleepaway Camp prolly isn't main stream enough).
Others worth a mention: Old Boy Angel Heart The Mist (especially it you've read the story) and (though its TV fodder) The Dallas it was all a dream twist :-) |
