"News" is the biggest misnomer in the English language. Same shit, different day. Yes, I care what's going on altogether in the world but when you have a feel for the general texture and atmosphere of it, the individual events aren't too surprising.

Could you explain this a little further - I'm not sure what you mean.

Doc Faustus 11-29-2009 06:51 AM

If you get the general feel and atmosphere of the world around you, the basics of the political and entertainment climate, new revelations aren't surprising. I haven't been surprised by news for some time. Heath Ledger's death caught me off guard, but it kind of shouldn't. Considering how extreme young Hollywood partying had gotten and all. I don't think there are going to be any particularly surprising wars for awhile, so babies and weddings will rule the day for a little.

I don't give a rats ass about your religious beliefs/ political commentaries. Maybe if the news separated the two I would feign some sort of interest, but they don't. CNN actually fired Lou Dobbs cause he refused to separate his religious and media bias from his job as a reporter.

In fact, even when outside of the news, I don't give a shit who your God is, or if you think same sex marriage, or abortion should be legal. I think that kinda stuff should be kept to yourself, cause seriously all you're gonna do is piss off the people who disagree, or have someone who agrees with you sheepishly nod because they don't want to catch flack about it.
