Could've sworn that film was shot in Black & White
Ive seen a few films recently which were originally done in B&W and have since been remastered into colour, in most cases not very well either. Not sure how I feel about it, certainly 'It came from Beneath the Sea' does not look right in colour.
Maybe Im suffering from if its not broke dont fix it-itis, I dont know. Any thoughts? |
Agree. B/W has its own charm.
Its tough to relate to a remastered colored version of the b/w classic I have already watched and loved. And in most cases its not even applied right and the colors look outlandish. |
I despise colorization. I don't care what rationalizations people come up with for it. Don't fuck with a work of art- and yes, I will defend any film no matter how crappy, low-budget or commercial as a work of art.

I agree with newb. Being in B&W gives it a certain kind of atmosphere. That i feel gets lost in the colourisation process.
