I got this one today from a friend. She thinks i need a pick me up lol. Im not sure what they are i researched them and whatnot but i wanna know what you all think. Anyone hear of them? Theres no pregnancy warning on there i dont think im gonna double check it but im just wondering did it give anyone a good boost? I have to work 12am-8am friday and if this ends up working and not killing me im gonna buy a case.

Most of those have ingredients that are likely to spike your blood pressure a little at very least. That said, I don't think one would really fuck things up too much, whereas drinking it habitually may.
Peppermint and ginseng tea would probably be a safer way to go to invigourate yourself.

I'd rather drink coffee than put that horrible shit in my body. Those drinks kill your guts.

I have an iron stomach.

If you're pregnant, I wouldn't have any of that crap, caffeine isn't all that great for you if you're with child.

By the way, the last energy drink I had was a Redline XTreme... here's the warning.

I actually just got off the phone with my lady doctor. I have her home number simply for these reasons lol. She told me not to drink it and if i need a pick me up to drink coffee. I guess i made a pointless thread...sorry:o

missmacabre 05-05-2009 10:40 PM

Not pointless, really. Good conversation if anything.

Personally, I have no history/family history of heart problems and I can't drink half a Red Bull without having heart palpatations. I can drink tea, coffee no problem, but energy drinks kill me. I don't see why anyone drinks that stuff.

One day at school my friend who works midnights came in with a rootbeer bawls for each of us and I drank it without knowing. i just thought it was root beer. I seriously thought I was going to die. I curled up on a couch in the pub and skipped the rest of the day. I just laid there and tried to breath. So scary.

Red Bull does that to me too. I also get really shaky. Those energy drinks are really bad for you. It' like legal crank.

@rosered
If you're pregnant, you really shouldn't be having any caffeine, coffee included. You're going to feel tired because you're pregnant. It's not worth the risk to your child. I would try to get more exercise as that really does boost your energy level.

i drink a lot of water .. never was one for faddish trendoid drinks.

redbull can go fuck itself too.
