Offspring
It seems yet another Jack Ketchum novel is getting the film treatment.
This one's called Offspring, and here's lots of info about it: http://www.offspringthemovie.com/ http://www.fangoria.com/features/21-...offspring.html http://fangoriaonline.com/home/news/...enes-clip.html http://www.fangoria.com/home/news/9-...nd-update.html |
Has anyone of you seen this yet?
How disturbing and brutal is it? And most importantly, would I like it? http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...ster_large.jpg |

I think it wound better if a better production team with a good budget worked with this story, although I haven't read the original novel. My rating...C+ Quote:

Good. I'll watch it sometime then. Having seen Ketchum's "The girl next door" I imagined this story would be at least just as cruel and disturbing. I guess it isn't. |
Nope, it was nothing like TGND; that was a great one.

But yeah..when the thought comes to my mind that it may already happened to someone in real or may be happening right now somewhere in this world..that does creeps me out and then leaves me in a bad mood. Btw, have you seen An American Crime? that's somewhat similar to TGND but not that "good" though. |

Yes, saw that one as well. Also cruel, but more digestable as it didn't focus on the torture and exploitation. The ghost ending was fucked tho. Totally out of place. Good performances. |
if your read the book, Off Season, the prequel to Offspring, shit is super brutal. I dont know why they made a movie of this and not that.
