No, not what you were thinking.



I have a copy of the game House of the dead 3. The guy who gave it to me left instructions on the CD. This is exactly what it says:

"Once installed copy crack from CD to EXE folder".


I'm new to this stuff.

Anyone know where the EXE folder is?

What does copying the crack mean?

The disc won't work unless I do this!

Hmm.. Its Pirated.... run a virus scan on it before you do anything.

well, to answer your quesion, it depends on the game, but for example, doom 3 installs to the Doom3 folder, if you look in there you will see a file called "doom3.exe", that would be where you copy the crack. If you have installed the game and there is a shortcut, just right click it and select open File Location, it will take you right to the folder.


And I would still runa virus scan. it doesnt mean your friend is trying to mess with you, a lot of craks are infected and if HE didnt scan it, he might accidentally pass it on to you. Its like using a condom, the risk of infection is so high, you would be dumb to just accept "Trust me", no matter how good friends you are.
